Crux’s Role
Crux was contracted to Bonneville Power Administration and was tasked with the excavation of pole holes and the installation of anchors to support the BPA pole installation crew. The project required precise and efficient execution to ensure all work was completed within the scheduled BPA outage period.
Crux successfully excavated sixty-two 30-inch direct embed pole holes and installed eight 30-inch direct embed poles with CMP (corrugated metal pipe) and thirteen plate anchors. Despite the complexity of the task, there were no access challenges, and all work was completed smoothly within the confined outage period. The project commenced in April and was completed by October, demonstrating Crux’s commitment to timely and efficient project delivery.
The BPA Danger Poles TO-002 project highlights Crux’s expertise in handling critical infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency. By successfully completing the excavation and installation tasks within the designated outage period, Crux ensured the continued reliability and safety of the transmission lines for BPA.
Overall, this project stands as a testament to Crux’s dedication to excellence and its ability to deliver on complex projects under stringent timelines.
